Botafogo and Fluminense, the two major football clubs from Rio de Janeiro, had contrasting results in the 11th round of the Brazilian Championship. Glorioso was held to a 1-1 draw at home by São Paulo, while Flu beat Atlético Mineiro 1-0 at the Mineirão.
