Braves Take Early Lead

The Dodgers finally got on the board in the fourth inning with a two-run home run by Justin Turner.

The Dodgers continued to chip away at the Braves’ lead, scoring another run in the fifth inning and tying the game in the sixth inning on a sacrifice fly by Will Smith.

The Dodgers took the lead for good in the seventh inning on a two-run home run by Mookie Betts.

Bullpen Shines for Dodgers

The Dodgers’ bullpen was outstanding in game 5, allowing just one run in 5 1/3 innings of work.

Evan Phillips, Phil Bickford, and Craig Kimbrel combined to allow just two hits and one walk while striking out seven batters.

Kimbrel picked up the save, striking out the side in the ninth inning.
